Georgia Traylor

Georgia has been working with the Rubin Eye Center since 2004 and graduated with honors from Maplewoods Community college with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. She is an experienced optician and front-desk manager. She is also a great consultant when it come to helping patients select one of our many fashionable frames. Georgia is very friendly and here to help with your ocular needs. She is also well-versed in the management of contact lenses. Georgia is a proud mother of an eighteen-year old daughter, who is currently a student at Park Hill High School.

Dr. James D. Rubin, OD

Dr. Rubin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Florida State University. Dr. Rubin completed his doctorate of optometry training at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. and became Residency Certified at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City. Dr. Rubin is Board Certified by the Missouri Board of Optometry and is also certified to treat many disorders of the eyes.  Dr. Rubin has also been on staff at the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine and has published articles in many leading optometric journals.

Dr. Rubin has been married to his wife Kathy since 1980 and has three daughters who have all graduated from the North Kansas City School District and are currently enrolled in Missouri colleges and has one daughter teaching in the State of Missouri. Dr. Rubin is also an accomplished photographer, an avid tennis player, and one of the few certified tennis racket stringers in the area.

Chris Williams

Chris has been working with the Rubin Eye Center for the past two years as chief management consultant. Chris is a vital function to the office. She performs all office tasks from working at maintaining the front-desk work flow to assuring that each patient is receiving the best in patient care. She is also experienced in fashion design with ophthalmic frames and assists in preparing patients for comprehensive eye exams.
