How to slow age-related macular degeneration (AMD):

    With age-related macular degeneration (AMD), research has show that vitamin and mineral supplementation can slow the disease and even reverse its sighns and symptoms.  A combination of antioxidants and zinc ere shown to reduce advance AMD risk by 25% in patients with extensive intermediate drusen (lipid protein deposits) or noncentral geographic atrophy (GA), a thinning of the vital layers of the retina, in one or boty eyes, or those with advanced AMD or visual acuity of less than 20/32 attributable to AMD in one eye, (according to the Age-Related Eye Disease Study.  Article to be continued:  For best advise now, have us evaluated extend of AMD and DO NOT SMOKE ! am sorry, but that stuff does kill tissues in back of eye.
